Obituaries
Ardell Jeanine Nelson, 88, of Plentywood died March 28, 2021.
She was born May 3, 1932, the middle child of Soren Sorensen Rungborg and Myrtle Marie (Andersen) Rungborg, in the old Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Plentywood. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Reserve Lutheran church.
She spent her childhood years in Reserve and attended grade school at the Reserve School

Culbertson Athletes Place In Glasgow To Open Track Season
Culbertson faced strong competition at the season- opening track meet in Glasgow on Thursday, April 1, but scored its share of points at the 22-team competition.
The Cowgirls accounted for 13.5 points at the Glasgow Invitational for 15th place. Hinsdale topped the team standings with 52 points followed by Havre with 51 and Plentywood with 50 points.

The Bainville Bulldogs were glad that track was back as the Bulldogs competed at the 22-team Glasgow Invitational on Thursday, April 1.
Bainville’s senior Kaden Hansen earned fifth-place in the discus with a best of 12102. He took 10th in the shot put with a mark of 38-1.
Best results for Bainville’s girls included Emma Poser taking 17th in the 1600 and 18th in the 800. Micah Anderson
Great Falls Angler Lands Record Longnose Sucker
For the fifth time in less than a year, Montana will add a new state record fish to its books.
The latest fish is a longnose sucker from the Missouri River caught on March 26. Weighing in at 3.42 pounds, the 20.1-inch sucker was landed by Jacob Bernhardt of Great Falls while fishing in Cascade County.
