Poplar Starts FFA Program


It’s been awhile. Poplar Schools has started a FFA program under the guidance of new teacher Ted Fulgham. “I’m excited about it,” Fulgham said. “We have a good core group starting. They want to learn.” He said that, according to a state officer, Poplar had a chartered FFA chapter in 1941. The chapter was active through 1943. “After that, I don’t know,” Fulgham said.

Scobey George Baker Sr., 44, of Wolf Point died Nov. 15, 2020, at the Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle, Wash. He was born on July 30, 1976, in Wolf Point. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He often went fishing with his sisters, Jen and Es, and their children. He loved family gatherings where he would laugh, eat and tease everyone. He enjoyed watching football, always cheering
