Former Valley County Undersheriff Luke Strommen was sentenced to 40 years in prison by Judge John Larson Dec. 8 in the Valley County Courthouse in Glasgow. He was found guilty of rape by a Valley County jury earlier this year and has been incarcerated in the Roosevelt County Detention Center in Wolf Point since July 17.
