Christian Alexander Perez has been arrested for the charges of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, meth, a felony, and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. He is scheduled to make his initial appearance in district court on April 14. Bond was set at $35,000. If convicted on the felony charge, Perez faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison, a fine of $5,000

Charles Connor Clark, 27, of Wolf Point has made a plea of guilty to assault resulting in serious bodily injury as charged in superseding information. Clark was accused of injuring an infant on the Fort Peck Reservation. Clark faces a maximum of 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release. Chief U.S. District Judge Brian M. Morris scheduled sentencing for June 16.

Montana’s unemployment rate declined in January to 4.0 percent. Montana’s rate remains lower than the national rate of 6.3 percent in January. After accounting for Montana’s annual benchmarking revisions, January’s unemployment rate fell 0.2 percent over the month.
