Poplar honored its senior standouts with a star quilt ceremony for senior night on Saturday, Feb. 6. The event was held prior to the basketball game against Wolf Point. Seniors in the boys’ basketball program included Wilfred Lambert and Inyan Growing Thunder. The Roosevelt County Commissioners unanimously appointed Frank A. Piocos as the new county attorney on Monday, Feb. 1. Piocos will finish the term of Austin Knudsen, who was elected the state’s new attorney general in November. Piocos starts the new job immediately. His appointment will last under Dec. 31, 2022.
