The Valley County election administrator has confirmed that a recount for the Frazer School board election has been canceled. The Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede is on schedule and planning in place for July 9-11, according to a press release issued last week by the Wolf Point Stampede committee. Said the press release, “We are closely monitoring the current regulations from Gov. Bullock’s directives and the local health department. We will be making a final decision by June 1 according to the most updated directives.”

A Poplar woman who admitted stabbing a man multiple times while in a Wolf Point bar on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation was sentenced Tuesday, April 28, to 20 months in prison and two years of supervised release, U.S. Attorney Kurt Alme said. Emily Kaye Marie Gourneau, 32, pleaded guilty in December to assault resulting in serious bodily injury. U.S. District Judge Brian M. Morris presided.
