Commissioners Approve Purchase For Sheriff’s Office


The Roosevelt County commissioners held their regular meeting Tuesday, March 9. Commissioners Gary Macdonald, Duane Nygaard and Gordon Oelkers were in attendance. The commissioners approved a request to purchase a temperature control alarm for a patrol car at a cost of approximately $3,000. The vote was 2-1, with Macdonald voting no. Pound Puppies’ Janice Griebel, originally from Glasgow, assisted with a spay-neuter clinic March 6-7. A Pound Puppies fundraiser is set for March 17 at the Catholic hamburger stand in Wolf Point. A walk-in clinic is planned for May 1-2 at 420 Cascade Street in Wolf Point. May 1 will be cat day and May 2 will be a dog day. Organizers are hoping to do some microchipping May 2 but it has not been confirmed.
