Fort Peck Dam Water Release Delayed
Not long after announcing flow reductions out of Fort Peck Dam, the Army Corps of Engineers has decided not to implement the reduction to help farmers irrigate downstream.

Youth Pheasant, Waterfowl Weekend Coming Up
Youth hunters can get a head start on pheasant and waterfowl seasons this weekend. The 2022 Youth Pheasant and Waterfowl Weekend is Sept. 24 and 25. Licensed hunters 15 and under will be able to hunt pheasants, ducks, mergansers, geese and coots statewide on these two days.

The Montana Department of Agriculture lost more than $344,000 from a person impersonating a grant recipient in an email phishing attack, according to a new report recently released by the Legislative Audit Division.
The incident, which happened in October 2020, was one of two cases turned up by a legislative auditing team as part of a two-year cycle of reviews for the Legislature.

The Montana State University Pesticide Education Program, with support from MSU Extension, is offering a pest management tour Oct. 3-6 for pesticide applicators in Private Applicator Training District 5.
The tour will visit seven locations across south central Montana with local support from MSU Extension agents. Private (farm) pesticide applicators may attend a morning or afternoon session
