Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen announced last week the state has a new “I voted” sticker. The sticker will be available for the 2026 election cycle, a press release said. Anthony Douglas Miller was sentenced to three years with the Montana Department of Corrections during a district court hearing in front of Judge Benjamin Fosland on Tuesday, Feb. 24. Miller didn’t receive a fine and was given credit for 196 days of time served. Miller originally received a three-year deferred sentence in December for criminal possession of dangerous drugs. Area law enforcement responded to a report of an individual possibly being hit by a train on Thursday, Feb. 26. No victim was found by authorities. Lewis Matthews, chief of police for the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice, said video shows that a person wearing a white coat got out of the way fast enough to avoid being hit by the train.

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 149 calls from Feb. 23 through March 1. The calls included the following: Feb. 23 Deputies received a report of a stolen laptop from the school in Tioga, N.D. A trace provided an IP address that the laptop was in Wolf Point.
