The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 63 calls from Dec. 11-18. Dec. 11 Deputies received a call regarding a possible burglary west of Culbertson. A family reported that someone had broken into a house. The case is under investigation. Deputies assisted a male who fallen out of his wheelchair in Wolf Point. Dec. 12 Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law

Oral arguments will take place on a motion to dismiss in the Frank Piocos v. Roosevelt County case. The hearing was scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20. Piocos is looking for a judgment to acknowledge he was not lawfully removed as county attorney, having his salary reinstated, having his salary paid from Feb. 4 to the present, having attorney’s fees paid and other supplemental relief.

District Court judge David J. Cybulski presided over several hearings in Wolf Point on Wednesday, Dec. 13. The petition to revoke hearing for Wyatt Blaine Bergie Sr. was postponed until Jan. 10 after Bergie was stopped for suspicion of being under the influence of intoxicants in Sidney. Officials from the Richland County jail told the court that Bergie was tested and had a blood alcohol contest
