Forecast Calls For Above Average Temps

The monthly weather- ready briefing for August was conducted by the National Weather Service last week.
Providing the information were Scott Rozanski of the Glasgow station and Nick Vertz of the Billings station.
The report noted that temperatures were close to normal during August. A few areas in northeast Montana experienced a little above temperatures for the time period.

Foundation Presents Casino Night Gala
The Northeast Montana Health Services Charitable Foundation will raise funds for local health services with its Casino Night Gala on Saturday, Sept. 7, at the American Legion Club in Poplar.
Brandi Wilkinson, executive director, says the foundation holds a gala each year, but the theme changes.
Admission costs range from $85 to $100 depending on your seat location. The event will run from

Cannabis Sales Continue Strong In Eastern Montana
Cannabis sales continue to be going very well in eastern Montana during the past few months.
After Roosevelt County reached a total of $441,671 in estimated sales during March, the amount dipped to $413,116 in April.
The estimated total sales, however, rebounded to $439,639 during the month of May.
The amount for Roosevelt County was $403,732 or $13,457 daily in June. The total increased

North Dakota voters will decide the fate of recreational marijuana for the third time since 2018 after the Secretary of State’s Office approved the measure for the November ballot. The office announced Monday, Aug. 26, it has verified nearly 19,000 of the more than 22,000 signatures submitted to the office. A total of 15,582 signatures were needed to qualify for the ballot.
