The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 152 calls during Aug. 25 to Sept. 1. The calls included the following: Aug. 25 Deputies and the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice responded to a report of a domestic assault in Poplar. The complaint was that a male dragged a female into the house by the hair. The male was later located and FPTDLJ made the arrest. Aug. 27

Lawrence Joseph Morin is facing the charge of aggravated driving under the influence, third offense, in District Court. According to court records, a tribal officer observed a vehicle stopped in the roadway on Anaconda Street East in Wolf Point on Aug. 1 at about 11:43 p.m. The officer then observed the vehicle driving at a high rate of speed and heading eastbound while in the westbound lane.

A woman died while hiking Wednesday, Aug. 27, in a group on the Highline Trail in Glacier National Park. She tripped and sustained fatal injuries from a fall, Glacier said in a news release.
