Fire Threatens Bainville Facility
A salt water tank exploded at a containment facility site operated by Clean Solutions LLC near Bainville, leading to a sizable fire Monday morning, June 10.
According to Roosevelt County Disaster and Emergency Services coordinator Lindsey McNabb, one worker was injured and taken to CHI St. Alexius Health Williston Medical Center. The worker’s name was not available at press time.

Fire Department Pleased With Addition
The Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Department used its fund-raising breakfast on Saturday, June 1, as an opportunity to showcase a big new addition to help their efforts when emergencies occur.
The fire department now possesses a 1995 Mack CH600 13-speed vehicle for its use, especially for larger fires. The truck carries 4,000 gallons of non-potable water.

Whitmus To Serve As Grand Marshal

Don Whitmus is thrilled and honored to be selected as the grand marshal for the 101st annual Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede. This year’s Stampede is scheduled for July 10-13.
Whitmus explained that he was invited to have supper during a Stampede committee meeting this spring. “Part way through the meeting, they said they selected me as grand marshal,” Whitmus said.
