The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 51 calls from Sept. 23-30. The calls included the following: Sept. 24 Deputies responded to Culbertson city limits for a report of two missing bicycles that were taken from outside of a residence. Deputies patrolled the city limits and couldn’t locate the bikes. Later on, the reporting party said that he found the bikes lying in an alley.

Former Wolf Point resident Kyle Einer Traeholt is being charged with rape and impregnating a family member following an investigation in Yellowstone County. According to court documents, Traeholt sexually abused a teen a little more than a decade ago. He made a not guilty plea last week to one count of incest, a felony. Commissioners unanimously approved Elise Eggebrecht to serve as the Wolf Point cook for the Aging Services Program. On Thursday, Oct. 19, Simulation in Motion Montana will host an important pediatric simulation training session for local EMS providers in Roosevelt County. This high-fidelity training will focus on emergency scenarios involving children, including asthma, overdose, burns, and hypothermia. The goal is to enhance the preparedness and skills of local EMS teams in handling critical pediatric emergencies.

The weather outlook appears to be leaning toward higher temperatures than normal for the region, according to National Weather Service meteorologists. During the weather-ready briefing for eastern Montana and northern Wyoming last week, meteorologist Scott Rozanski of the Glasgow station said that the Glasgow area experiences higher temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees above normal during September.

The Montana Department of Labor and Industry reminds Montana businesses and workers that the minimum wage will increase from $10.30 to $10.55 beginning on Jan. 1, 2025.
