Commissioners Approve Public Health Measures
The Roosevelt County Commissioners held their regular meeting in Wolf Point Tuesday, March 17. Commissioner Duane Nygaard was absent.
Minutes were approved for the March 3 regular meeting.
A request to use the county building in Culbertson for a new food bank was approved. The County Cupboard is a registered non-profit organization with a board of directors made up of Laura Christoffersen,

As the scope and threat of the coronavirus pandemic becomes clear, people all over the world hunger for two things: an effective vaccine and truthful information about the disease.

District To Host Henry March 16
Anti-bullying speaker William Henry will return for a second community presentation March 16. The event will take place at the Wolf Point Cultural Center. Food and drinks will be provided and will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Parents and guardians of area students are encouraged to attend. The event, hosted by the district, is a Title I parental involvement meeting.

Swing Choir Travel Suspended
The Wolf Point School District board of trustees held their regular public meeting Monday, March 9.
During public comment, music teacher Russell Johnson told the board that a planned Wolf Point High School Swing Choir trip to Seattle, Wash., has been canceled due to concerns about exposure to coronavirus.

Tribes Host Meth Symposium
Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes and Spotted Bull Recovery Center are hosting a three day symposium at Fort Peck Community College March 9-11. The symposium, now in its fifth year, aims to support community members in the battle against methamphetamine use. At press time, the event was unfolding.

Yellow Robe To Receive Honorary Doctorate From U Of M
William S. Yellow Robe Jr., a noted playwright and educator, will receive an honorary doctorate of fine arts from the University of Montana at its May 9 commencement exercises.
