Red Ribbon Week 2020 Observed


Another year has passed and its again time for the annual Red Ribbon Week. This year, Red Ribbon Week is being observed Oct. 23-31. The theme this year is “Be happy, be brave, be drug free.” This year’s campaign focuses on encouraging youth, families and communities to live healthy, happy and drug-free lives. It also serves as a reminder that we are all empowered with shaping the communities

Obituaries Terrance Peterson Terrance “Terry” Peterson, 78, of Watford City, N.D., formerly of Froid, died Monday, Oct. 5, 2020, at his Watford City residence. He was born on May 6, 1942, in Powers Lake, N.D., to William and Esther (Jorgenson) Peterson. He graduated from Powers Lake High School class of 1960. LuJuanna Rae Fire Cloud, 64, died at her home in Brockton on Oct. 11, 2020. She was born in Sisseton, S.D., to Paul Fire Cloud and Veronica LeBlanc on May 22, 1956. Lou, as everyone knew her, spent the majority of her life in Montana. In 1977, she met and married Robert Youpee. They later divorced, but remained close friends.
