Daniel “Danny” Begs His Own, 71, died on Feb. 4, 2026, in Glasgow. He was born July 9, 1954, in Poplar to Josephine Reddoor and Henry Begs His Own. He attended high school in Wolf Point and graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1974. While in high school, he loved reading and also loved running on the track team. After high school, he received a scholarship to run track at Dawson Community College. After college, he became a firefighter. Before making Glasgow his home, he also lived in Minneapolis, Minn., and Billings. In his free time, he enjoyed going to watch rodeos and dumpster diving. He also enjoyed going on cruises in his car while listening to music and just having a good time. Above everything else, he loved his family and spending time with everyone. Dale T. King, 77, died Jan. 15, 2026, at Intermountain Health in Billings. He was born in Lawrence, Kansas, to Thomas and Velma (Gosney) King. He spent the first four years living in North and South Dakota and Wolf Point, while his father worked as a technical manager for a seismic crew. In 1952, his family moved to Billings and he gained a brother, Jack E. King. His mother died when he was nine. A few months later, he and his younger brother had to stay with Oklahoma relatives due to their father's job transfer to El Dorado, Ark. In 1958, Dale, Jack and his father returned to Billings. Shortly after, Thomas King married Geneva Jolley. Dale gained a stepbrother, Joe, and a stepsister, Candy. He attended most of his school years in Billings and graduated in 1966 from Billings West High. During his senior year, he joined the Naval Reserve at the urging of his father. After graduation, he went to boot camp at age 17. He spent one year at the University of Montana and was called to his two-year active commitment in the Navy. He spent his 19th birthday off the coast of Vietnam. After an honorable discharge, he stayed in California, where he met Diana Donato. They married in 1969 and had two children, Denise and Thomas. They resided for most of their marriage in Billings and divorced in 1992. In 1969, he attended Eastern Montana College in Billings for one year, then moved to Bozeman to follow in his father's footsteps. He majored in geology at Montana State University with an emphasis on petroleum. After graduation, the oil and gas industry was in decline. He earned the needed credits to get his teaching degree from Rocky Mountain College. This allowed him to be an educator for the Lockwood School District as well as a boys’ and girls’ basketball coach. He also did geology consulting during his free time. He ended his teaching profession after two years and went to work full-time as

William “Bill” J. Lauckner, 82, died Feb. 12, 2026, at the family farm in near Nashua. He was born Sept. 7, 1943, in Glasgow to William A. and Hilda (Beer) Lauckner. At the age of 12, he became his father’s hired man. As a third generation farmer, he spent long days on the tractor — there were no cabs, no air conditioner, no heater and no GPS. Farming was his life. Many long days and nights were spent in the field, along with running a few cows. He took over the farm from his father in 1967. After he graduated from Nashua High School in 1961, he served in the National Guard for eight years. He would laugh and say, “I went in as a cook and came out a tank driver.” He married Myrna Anderson on June 18, 1966. Over his lifetime, he served on many boards including Farmers Union Elevator, Farm Credit, Valley County 4-H Council and was a 4-H leader for 30 years, where he loved working with the youth in shooting sports, wildlife, leathercraft and doing summer camp. Youth often were busy doing leather projects in his basement. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. He was member of the Mountain Bluebird Trails and was an active district coordinator. He has a bluebird trail at the Pines and another on Highway 24, which consists of 83 boxes. His getaway time was going to check on the bluebirds. He loved his bluebirds.
