Change Of Plea Hearings Take Place In District Court

A change of plea hearing and arraignments were among the business in Roosevelt County District Court in front of District Judge Benjamin Fosland on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

Lori Jo Lynn Grey Bear changed her plea to guilty for the charge of possession of dangerous drugs. She admitted that on March 10 that she was in a vehicle and was in possession of meth.

Fosland ordered a pre-sentencing investigation.

Defense attorney Mark Epperson requested that Grey Bear’s $40,000 bond be reduced to being released on her own recognizance. Fosland granted the request, but Grey Bear must undergo drug testing three times a week.

“You show me you can do well on probation,” Fosland said, noting that the time will be a good indication for sentencing.

Joshua Steven Primeau denied bond violations during his petition to revoke hearing. Alleged violations include not complying with all laws and using alcohol or illegal drugs.

Fosland said the maximum penalty if Primeau is found guilty of violating the bond conditions is five years in prison.

Primeau was released on his previous $6,000 bond. He said he had a scheduled appointment with a treatment center.

Matthew Curtis Gustafson changed his plea to guilty for the charges of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and criminal mischief.

Judge Fosland ordered a pre-sentencing investigation.

Jettison Leigh McClammy made not guilty pleas to the charges of criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

An omnibus hearing was scheduled for Nov. 24.

Her bond was reduced from $35,000 to being released on her own recognizance.

Russell Dwaine Becker made not guilty pleas to the charges of criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. An omnibus hearing was scheduled for Nov. 24.

Becker’s bond was reduced to $10,000 with the added condition of signing a waiver of extradition prior to being released.

Derrick Ryan Frislie Sr. made not guilty pleas to the charges of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, criminal possession of drug paraphernalia and driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. An omnibus hearing was scheduled for Nov. 24.

Frislie’s bond was reduced to $10,000 with the added condition that his boss checks in with the court as far as employment.

During an adjudication hearing, John David Panasuk admitted to two violations of breaking his probation. A disposition hearing is set for Oct. 14.
