Dawn Marie Nagle, 65, of Circle died Sept. 13, 2026.

She was born the youngest of four daughters to Bob and Francine (Chupp) Guelff. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Schools and graduated from Dawson County High School in 1979. She went on to Carroll College in Helena, followed by an internship in Spokane, Wash., training as a medical technologist.

After college, she moved to Circle to work at the Circle hospital. During her time there, with the help of Ross Wagner, she met local rancher Robert “Butch” Nagle. The couple married in December 1985 and went on to build a family of six with their children, Lindsey, Clay, Troy and Shelbey.

Over the years, she and Butch spent countless days juggling their children’s events and activities, working alongside each other in ranching and community life and raising a family in a home that was always open to anyone who needed a place to go or a pillow to sleep upon. She raised her children on the pillars of hard work, honesty and integrity. She was always willing to go the extra mile to make life better for the people she loved.

She worked at the Wolf Point hospital and Glendive Medical Center before retiring from Indian Health Services, where she served as a laboratory manager. Even after retirement, she stayed busy completing cattle audits, but it wasn’t long before her favorite title became Grandma.

She loved gardening and maintained a huge garden after retirement, generously sharing its harvest with family and friends. She took great pride in
