Scobey Senior Oller Participates in Various Activities

Barrel racing, 4-H and volleyball are some of the favorite activities for Scobey High School senior Kimi Oller.

She has competed in barrel races at locations such as Scobey and Wolf Point.

“It’s fun,” Oller explained. “I like to bond with my horses.”

Her horses have included Ribbon and Okie. As far as Okie, Oller said, “He’s a pretty good horse. He’s pretty calm.”

A member of the Poplar Valley 4-H Club, Oller has shown horses and pigs at the Daniels County Fair. During this year’s fair, she won all blue ribbons for the horse events. In pig categories, she earned grand champion and reserve champion honors.

As far as volleyball, she started playing in junior high. She has played four years at the high school level.

Her favorite part of volleyball is spending time with other team members.

When asked her favorite memories in volleyball, she said, “I guess I like all of them. It’s hard to pick one. There are too many.”

In the classroom, she doesn’t have a particular favorite teacher. “I like them all equally.”

She is a native of Scobey. “I like the people,” Oller said. “It’s nice and calm.”

Oller is undecided about her plans after high school. One possibility is attending cosmetology school.
