Cowgirls Build On Volleyball Experience, Teamwork
With a core group of experienced players returning to the court, the Culbertson Cowgirls are heading into the new season focused on communication, teamwork and growing together.
Head coach Ti_any Nielsen welcomes back returning starters Emma Berwick, Payton Labatte and Bella Petersen. Charity Wilbanks also returns after seeing significant playing time last season, giving the Cowgirls additional experience to lean on.
The Cowgirls will look to four seniors for leadership this season: Berwick, Stella Fox, Labatte and Petersen.
For Nielsen, the team’s goals go beyond wins and losses. She wants to see the Cowgirls continue developing together as the season progresses.
“Our goal is to continue to grow as a team, keeping up with our communication and teamwork,” Nielsen said.
That returning experience gives Culbertson a foundation to build from as the Cowgirls work to find their rhythm on the court. With several familiar faces back in the lineup, the team will look to strengthen the connections developed during previous seasons while continuing to improve each week.
Nielsen will be joined on the sidelines by assistant coach Tessa Rumsey, while Lauren Rumsey will serve as the team’s manager.
As another season of Cowgirls volleyball gets underway, Culbertson will look to its senior leadership and returning players to set the tone, with communication and teamwork at the center of what the team hopes to accomplish.
