Fort Kipp Powwow This Weekend
The annual Fort Kipp Celebration is set for Aug. 21-23 south of U.S. Highway 2 between Brockton and Culbertson. Camping day is Aug. 20.
Grand entries will be held Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Registration closes at noon on Saturday.
Dance categories include adult men’s, grass, chicken, fancy and traditional and women’s jingle, fancy and traditional, with golden age, teen and junior categories.
Drums will be paid daily. Celebration advisor is Derrick Long Hair. Lodge keeper is Amari Rae Bighorn and Keaton Armon Lee Longtree is treasurer. Parick Ricker will be arena announcer.
