Summers Takes Third In Montana Mile
Wolf Point native Peyton Summers accounted for an impressive third-place showing during the Montana Mile at the Big Sky State Games on Friday, July 17.
Summers, who attends Dawson Community College, took the lead early and held an advantage for the first half of the race. He finished with a time of 4:17.91.
Ase Ackerman earned top honors with a time of 4:11.51. Ackerman ran for Dawson County High School and Montana State Billings during his career.
Owen Smith, a former runner for Montana State, placed second at 4:15.18.
Billings Central’s Addison Kegel won the women’s mile with a record time of 4:51.35.
