Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report
The Roosevelt County Sheriff's Office responded to 150 calls from July 13-20.
The calls included the following: July 13
Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice with a welfare check at Poplar’s tribal housing area. The incident regarded an adult male who was reportedly suicidal. Law enforcement searched the area around the Poplar bridge but couldn’t locate the man.
July 14
Deputies in the Wolf Point area assisted a state probation officer regarding an adult male in Wolf Point’s city limits. While in the house, deputies noticed a white substance, believed to be meth, on top of a small piece of furniture. Law enforcement also saw a scale and cut-off straw. Dale Robert Fowler, 72, was charged with criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
July 15
Deputies received a report of a motor vehicle north of Wolf Point on Highway 250. An adult male said someone stole his utility trailer. Authorities later found the trailer.
July 16
Deputies assisted FPTDLJ and the Poplar Fire Department regarding a report of a fire at a residence on the 400 block of E Street in Poplar. No one was inside the residence.
July 17
Deputies received a report from Poplar’s city limits from an adult male saying someone ran through a residential fence with a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was issued three citations.
July 18
Deputies responded to Poplar’s tribal housing for a report of a domestic fight between two adult males. An ambulance transported one male to the hospital for treatment. Colin Young, 35, was charged with partner/family member assault and taken to tribal jail.
July 19
Deputies received a report of animal cruelty in Brockton when a dog was injured. It’s possible that a neighbor shot the dog with a pellet gun.
