Parade’s Theme Is Stars, Stripes Forever

The “Stars and Stripes Forever” parade will bring enjoyment to residents of all ages during the Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede on Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11.

The parade will begin at 1 p.m. both days on Main Street. The grand overall champion will receive a $100 prize, but the entry must participate in the parade both days.

Divisions are broken down into horses, cars and floats. Categories for horses are best youth cowgirl, best youth cowboy, best adult cowgirl and best adult cowboy. Cars will be judged for best original and best restored. Categories for floats are best youth club, best adult club, best commercial and cultural heritage.

Parade line up will take place on Sixth Avenue South near the Wolf Point High School marquee sign. All cars should be driven through the back of the high school and line up in the bus loop. All horses, wagons and hitches should wait at the grassy area by the intersection.

Marchers and walkers are asked to the front of the line in order to help maintain pace.

Participants are reminded to toss candy lightly to the crowd and away from any other parade vehicles. Participants shouldn’t spray the crowd with water.
