David Stevenson
David Grant Stevenson, 80, of Regina, Sask., Canada, died Friday, May 29, 2026.
He was born on June 12, 1945, in Carlyle, Sask. He was known by family and friends as a kind and caring man with a wonderful sense of humor and a mischievous streak that kept those around him smiling.
He began his early education at the Marieval Residential School under difficult circumstances. After completing grade three, he joined his family in Wolf Point, where he later graduated from high school.
Following graduation, he was drafted into the United States Army. He completed basic training at Fort Lewis, Wash., and served the remainder of his military service at Fort Bliss, Texas. He was honorably discharged from the Army and returned to Wolf Point, where he worked for 15 years as a machinist at Wood’s Power-Grip.
He later returned to Canada and settled in Regina, where he worked for the City of Regina until his retirement.
