Stampede To Celebrate 103 Years
The Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede will celebrate its 103rd year July 8-11, in Wolf Point along with the many dedicated stadium committee and community volunteers.
The weekend festivities will start Wednesday evening, July 8, with a pitchfork fondue from 4:30-6 p.m. at the Big Sky Corral, followed by the Wild Horse Ranch Rodeo at 6 p.m., then dance to the music of Chris Bohenek at the Wild Horse Saloon, all located at Marvin Brookman Stadium.
Cinch Jeans & Shirts PRCA Rodeo action will be held each evening at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 9, Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11. Jaden Decker concert to follow Saturday’s rodeo at the Wild Horse Saloon.
Grand marshal chosen for the 103rd is past Wild Horse Stampede Concessions Committee member Ted Rensvold.
Other events and festivities set for the 103rd weekend celebration include the “Stars & Stripes Forever” two-day parade, all-class reunion, Fort Peck Sioux Dancers, carnival, the famous Catholic Hamburger Stand on Main Street, Animal Fun Day, Stampede Fun Run, TETWP Stampede Roundup Golf Tournament and Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night, street dance, museum pancake breakfast, rodeo event Calcutta each night pre-rodeo and Wild Horse Race Calcutta, Kids Stick Horse Rodeo hosted by Miss Rodeo Montana, Art in the Park. Additional events held in conjunction with the 103rd Stampede to be announced by the Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce.
