Brockton Golfers Aim For Successful Season

Brockton’s golf team is shooting for a solid season this spring. The Warriors have nine athletes including six boys out for the sport.

The boys’ team includes Sonny Owns Pipe, Zane Edmundson, Colter Nygard and CoDean Big Eagle.

The girls’ squad is led by Qunitana Young, Claire Clampitt and Kenicea Burshia.

Young nearly qualified for the state meet last year. She placed 21st at the divisional tournament.

Requirements are different to qualify for the divisional meet this season. A boy needs to shoot 115 or lower and a girl needs to shoot 130 or lower to qualify. The divisional meet will be held at the Sidney Country Club. The state meet takes place in Shelby.

The team’s head coach is Dennis Four Bear. Emerson Young serves as assistant coach.
