Bainville Looks Forward To Strong Track Season
Bainville’s track squad features 16 boys and eight girls for a total turnout of 24 athletes this spring.
Coach Chance Hyatt said his goal is for the Bulldogs to be competitive at the district and divisional meets this season.
Other goals include staying healthy, improving skills/ athleticism and the mental aspect of the sport.
Returning letterwinners include Austin Evelan, Addison Hansen, Casey Myers, Hailey Berwick, Evan Anderson, Hannah Tholborn, Kaiden Holmes, Lila Butikofer, Kaston Hofer, Keagan Vaira, Owen Theige, Parker Berwick and Rowan Wilson.
H. Berwick earned third place in the 400 and Hansen placed fifth in the discus at last year’s state meet.
Divisional placers for the Bulldogs last season were Holmes, Wilson, P. Berwick, Eveland, H. Berwick, Butikofer, Myers and Hansen.
Strong events for Bainville are expected to include throwing events and the 400 for girls, and the 400 and 800 for boys.
