“Beef” To Headline Comedy Night At FPCC
Fort Peck Community College is presenting a free comedy night April 30 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Greet the Dawn Auditorium in Poplar. The stars of the show are Kasey “Rezzalicious” Nicolson and Donovan “Beef” Archambault.
“Different programs and organizations are always looking for ways to provide healthy outlets for community engagement,” Archambault told Northern Plains Independent. He likened the comedy scene on the reservation to other community events providing opportunities for locals to mix and connect. Archambault said shows provide, “an opportunity to get out and socialize, to make a human connection. That is something that seems to be lacking in this digital, scrolling age we live in.”
“I will always encourage people,” said Archambault, “to get out of their comfort zones and take a healthy risk. Go have a human experience. Life is a great big, beautiful thing, but we must choose to see it that way. Also,” he added, “whoever doesn’t come to this show is a loser!”
The show is sponsored by the FPCC Student Services Program. The event is open to all and a meal will be provided.
