City Council Holds March Meeting

 

The Wolf Point City Council held its regular meeting March 16.

During public comment, Wolf Point resident Noreen Hohman spoke during public comment to ask about plans for development of city parks. She also asked about body cam use by Wolf Point Police Chief Anthony Cambridge. Mayor Chris Dschaak said all body cams and tasers have been recently updated.

Greg Lukasik from Great West Engineering appeared via Zoom. He said the latest phase of wastewater improvements are set to begin March 30. He said crews are expected to complete work on that portion within 45 days.

A first reading of the new RV and motor home ordinance was approved. Amendments to the ordinance are expected at the April meeting.

The signage ordinance was also discussed and is in process.

The resignation of police officer Yvonne Wieser was discussed. This resignation leaves the department with a staff of two officers, plus Chief Cambridge. One of the officers is currently at training.

The next monthly meeting is set for April 20.
