Alvarado Charged With Two Felonies
Xavier Jamal Christian Ray Alvarado has been charged with failure to register as a sexual or violent offender, a felony, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted person, a felony.
On Feb. 24, a Roosevelt County Sheriff’s deputy was informed that a homeowner in Roosevelt County was seeking to have Alvarado evicted from his property. The deputy was told that Alvarado is allegedly violent, that he is a felon and possesses firearms.
Law enforcement found that Alvarado is a registered violent offender in Sheridan County. He is not registered in Roosevelt County.
Law enforcement was told that Alvarado has lived in Roosevelt County since 2024. Law enforcement went to the property and informed Alvarado that he hasn’t registered as a violent offender in the county. He said he maintains a residence in Sheridan County.
During a search of the residence in Roosevelt County, a silencer threaded onto a barrel was discovered. Also located was a black Taurus PT 24/7 Pro pistol. Nine rounds of ammunition in the magazine were found inserted in the gun. Also located was a Smith & Wesson 15/22 rifle. Another rifle was located in a drawer under a bed.
