Woman Makes Guilty Plea For Wire Fraud

After pleading guilty to two felonies in federal court, the sentencing for Parker Lee Gray Hawk is scheduled for April 2 in Great Falls.

As part of a plea agreement, Gray Hawk made guilty pleas on Dec. 10, 2025, to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and wire fraud. The maximum penalty for each charge is 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release.

The defendant, a former bookkeeper and human resources specialist for Fort Peck Manufacturing, was employed by the company from Dec. 13, 2021, until Dec. 6, 2023.

According to court documents, beginning on Dec. 13, 2021, and continuing through October 2023, Gray Hawk knowingly and unlawfully conspired with others to commit the offense of wire fraud.

The charges also read that Gray Hawk knowingly transmitted and caused to be transmitted by means of wire communication, in interstate and foreign commerce, writings, signs, signals, pictures and sounds for the purpose of executing such scheme and artifice.

According to court documents, Gray Hawk embezzled approximately $166,156.47 from Fort Peck Manufacturing, by a variety of means including writing unauthorized checks to herself, current and former employees, and other individuals. She is also charged with conducting a series of electronic transactions for unauthorized personal expenses with various companies including Amazon, CashApp, Apple, Paypal and Western Union. Despite the lack of authority, she still withdrew money from the small business checking account at the bank through either checks or electronic transactions, including credit and debit cards. She also manipulated the company’s Quickbooks entries to disguise her activities.

She also made false representations to the bank that she had permission and authority to access, withdraw cash and make purchases from the small business checking account. These false representations were material because they caused the bank to distribute money from the bank account via check, POS terminals and other electronic services.
