Murphy To Appear In Federal Court
Ethan Murphy, the man accused of killing a man in Wolf Point on Sept. 28, 2025, was scheduled to be arraigned in federal court on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
Murphy is facing the charges of second degree murder and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
The maximum penalty for second degree murder is life imprisonment, a $250,000 fine and five years of supervised release. According to the Wolf Point Police Department, an officer responded to a reported shooting at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28. The shooting took place on Blaine Street at the Albertsons store’s parking lot.
Upon arrival, the police officer found one deceased individual and another person with a gunshot wound. The police officer provided immediate medical assistance to the injured person until emergency medical assistance arrived.
