TEB Renames Department Of Cultural Resources

The Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board held its regular meeting Jan. 26. The board voted to approve a donation to Modern Day Warriors of a buffalo to feed the homeless.

West Electronics was approved to utilize the former Fort Peck Manufacturing Assets location.

The board voted to give the Frances Bighorn family a star quilt and monetary donation $500 for her years of service with the Fort Peck Tribes.

They also voted to rename and re-designate the Department of Cultural Resources as the Department of Cultural Preservation.

The board authorized payment for November 2025 to Sonosky and Chambers for legal services totaling $42,292.74.

The board voted for the adoption of the new five-year CEDS plan, which provides the framework for capacity building, economic development and improved quality of life on the Fort Peck Reservation for October 2025 to September 2030.

TEB is the duly elected body representing the Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of the Fort Peck Reservation and is empowered to act on behalf of the Tribes. All actions shall be adherent to provisions set forth in the 1960 Constitution and By-Laws. The next regular meeting is set for Feb. 9 in Poplar.
