Hamilton Enjoys Athletic Success For Wolves

Wolf Point senior Sean Hamilton has been a standout in three sports during his high school career.

Hamilton, who is a member of the National Honor Society, has competed in football, basketball and track for the Wolves.

The senior says that track is his favorite sport where he participates in the javelin, shot put and discus.

“It’s fun and it’s individual,” Hamilton said of track. “I don’t need to have the whole team to win, just myself and coaches.”

His goal for the upcoming season is setting the school record in the javelin and pre-qualifying for state in all three throwing events.

Hamilton’s success in track earned him an invitation to compete in the Coast 2 Coast International Track and Field Championships to take place in Runaway Bay, Australia, from July 4-6.

Hamilton has been fundraising for the trip. To make a donation, go to https://coast-2coastinternationalathletics. com/payments. Make sure you put Hamilton’s name in the notes section so the money gets posted in his account.

He enjoyed a solid football season individually this past fall, but he was disappointed that the Wolves didn’t qualify for the playoffs.

Hamilton led the team in tackles. During the contest in Cut Bank, he accounted for double-digit tackles and forced a fumble.

For his efforts, Hamilton has been selected to play in the Class B All-Star Football Game this summer.

He is a two-year starter for Wolf Point’s boys’ basketball team. His goal is for the Wolves to advance beyond the district tournament.

His favorite class is weight lifting where he is one of the top lifters.

Hamilton’s favorite teacher is Will Larsen.

After high school, Hamilton hopes to compete in track at the collegiate level. He is unsure of his career plans.
