School Board Election Planned In Wolf Point

Two positions are open for the Wolf Point School District’s board of trustees this year. District 1 needs one trustee for a three-year term and District 5 needs one trustee for a three-year term.

Maps of the districts are available on the school website at www.wolfpointschools. org. In District 1, Liara Braaten was elected for a one-year term that is set to expire this year. This position will be open for election of a trustee to complete a three-year term. Braaten is eligible to file as an incumbent candidate.

In District 5, Trenton Wemmer was elected for a threeyear term that is set to expire this year. This position will be open for election of a trustee for a three-year term. Wemmer is eligible to file as an incumbent candidate.

The annual school election is Tuesday, May 5, by mail ballot.

The trustee declaration form is located on the Wolf Point Schools website at www.wolfpointschools. org by going to Wolf Point School District page, Our District, School Board Information and is also available at the School District Administration Office located at 220 Fourth Avenue South. Completed forms can be filed with the district business manager/election administrator at the Wolf Point School District Office. Forms must be filed prior to 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9.

Ballots will be mailed Friday, April 17, by the Wolf Point School District. Voted ballots can be mailed back or dropped off at the Wolf Point School District Office, 220 4th Avenue S., Wolf Point. Ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, May 5.
