Area Residents Share Resolutions For 2026
As 2026 enters, residents from throughout the area share their resolutions and hopes for the new year.
Brandi Wilkinson, executive director of the Northeast Montana Health Services’ Charitable Foundation, said, “My resolution is twofold. In 2026, I will continue to give back to the northeastern Montana communities that have surrounded me with so much love and support. Secondly, I will try to live an abundant life filled with experiences, laughter and joy to honor my late husband, Patrick.”
Wolf Point Mayor Chris Dschaak said, “My resolutions for 2026 include listening more and commenting less, losing that last 20ish pounds, with a real emphasis on the ‘ish’ part, but more importantly to keep growing my faith in God, to become the person I need to be for my family, friends and community.”
Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board member Jestin Dupree says he tries to take small steps to improve himself daily, but his resolution is “to work on myself and be a better father and a better person.”
Cody Larson, Wolf Point teacher and girls’ basketball coach, said, “I would like to enjoy the little things more than I do. Just enjoy time a little bit better.”
Sarah Ruff, school superintendent in Frazer, said her goals for 2026 include, “I am going to read a book from every continent for my personal goal and for my work goal I am going to encourage and cultivate community relationships to enhance support for the Frazer schools.”
Wendy Becker, MSU/Roosevelt County Extension agent, plans “to be more organized and focused!”
Kallie Clarke, Bainville’s volleyball coach, said, “My resolution for this year is this: I will be intentional with my time, honest in my actions, focused on what helps me grow, and willing to let go of what holds me back.”
Jenna Bowker, Culbertson’s assistant girls’ basketball coach, said, “Just a personal goal for myself is to be more disciplined at reading the Bible daily to get into God’s word. And let that surround me and my actions.”
Wolf Point resident Kailey Bushman answered, “Definitely work on being more active and exercise. Be more involved with my daughter’s school and the community.”
Wolf Point teacher Jaki Harada notes that she is setting goals to start 2026. “To read 15 books, have a healthier lifestyle, travel more, and to not people please as much!”
Wolf Point Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Perkins said, “I am determined to finish paying off the student loans and short-term debt. Free, Free at last!”
Lustre resident and girls’ basketball coach Lisa Neufeld answered, “My New Year’s resolution is to read through the New Testament and organize my closets.”
Wolf Point teacher and speech and drama coach Jacob Boysun said his resolutions are, “Be more consistent with lifting weights.”
Cole Hanks, Wolf Point’s boys’ basketball coach, reported, “My New Year’s resolution is to lose another 25 pounds as well as get stronger physically and spiritually.
Roxanne Gourneau, TEB board member, said her goals are to “quit nicotine and pray hard I persevere.”
