County Retires Ellerton’s Badge


The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office will always remember Sgt. Michael Ellerton who died on July 1, 2025, after a four-year battle with cancer. Last week, the county commissioners approved the sheriff’s office’s request to retire Ellerton’s badge, #13. Wolf Point’s football team got behind early and lost at defending state champion Malta, 46-14, on Friday, Sept. 19. The Mustangs jumped out to a 19-0 lead in the first quarter. Culbertson High School senior Catherine Donaldson’s involvement at the school includes volleyball, FFA and cheer. Her competitions in FFA include veterinary science and sales. She started participating in veterinary science as a junior. “It gives me an idea if I want to become a veterinarian,” Donaldson explained.
