Past Year Second Warmest On Record

According to the National Weather Service in Glasgow, 2024 will go down as the second warmest year on record for the area, with an average temperature of 46.9 degrees. The highest temperature reached during the year was 109 degrees, set on July 24. The coldest was -37 set on Jan. 14. The records date back to 1893 and the formal testing period is 1991-2020. The Montana Department of Transportation announces and invites the public to comment on a proposal to improve about 2.5 miles of Powder River Road, north of Wolf Point. The project begins at the intersection with Road 2059 and extends south, ending near the intersection with Road 2061. Sheriff’s Office Finishes Year With 169 Total DUI Arrests

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office was busy enforcing the crime of driving under the influence of intoxicants during 2024. In total, the sheriff’s office made 169 DUI arrests in the county during 2024. Of those arrests, 59 came in Wolf Point’s city limits. There were 33 DUI arrests conducted in the Poplar city limits in 2024 by the sheriff’s office. Other areas included Poplar
