Poplar Holds Annual Ice Fishing Contest


The Poplar River Ice Fishing Contest was held Saturday Feb 1, and participants were very fortunate to have great weather despite the little sprinkle of rain in the morning. Fishing started off fast with 10 fish weighed in the first half hour. Fishing stayed hot with eight more fish rounding out the first hour of the contest, by the end of the contest there was a total of 30 fish caught, which
