The Poplar River Ice Fishing Contest was held Saturday Feb 1, and participants were very fortunate to have great weather despite the little sprinkle of rain in the morning. Fishing started off fast with 10 fish weighed in the first half hour. Bainville Knocks Off Fusion Squads

The Bainville Bulldogs swept basketball contests against Richey/Lambert in District 2C action on Friday, Jan. 31. Bainville’s boys posted a 51--33 victory over the Fusion. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 16-8 lead in the first quarter and increased the gap to 26-16 at the half. After holding a 38-26 lead at the end of the third period, the Bulldogs tallied 13 more points in the fourth period.
