Ice Fishing Birthday

Richie Charles of Williston, N.D. celebrated his fifth birthday at the Poplar River Ice Fishing Contest on Saturday, Feb. 1, with his father and uncle. A total of 30 fish were caught at the annual event and more than $3,000 were awarded in prizes. (Photo by James Walling)

Paul FourBear, 20, of Poplar died Feb. 1, 2025, in Minot, N.D. A wake will be held Thursday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 14, at 1 p.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will be at the Poplar City Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
