Culbertson Toy Drive Set For Nov. 1-2

Chasta Purvis and her team of do-gooders are hosting a free Christmas toy drive Nov. 1-2 at two locations in downtown Culbertson. Parents and guardians of area youth are encouraged to stop by the American Legion building at 106 3rd Ave. W from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to pick out Christmas gifts for their children. The youth shopping portion of the event is set for the same times at the town hall

Athletes Race At State Meet

Poplar’s boys placed fourth in the team standings at the Class B state cross country meet held in Missoula on Saturday, Oct. 25. The Indians finished with 167 points. The top three teams were state champion Harlem with 53 points, Ennis with 126 and Manhattan with 139 points. Wolf Point was 20th with 512 points. John Jermyn of Plains captured the individual title with a time of 16:02.41.
