Purvis Likes Being Cheerleader At School
Senior Profile
Culbertson High School senior Jordan Purvis has enjoyed her role as one of the school’s cheerleaders for the past two years.
“I like meeting new people and seeing them at the games,” Purvis said. “I like supporting the teams.”
She explains that she joined the cheerleading program after encouragement from her best friend, Genesey Deen.
“I thought it would be fun to spend more time with her,” Purvis said.
Purvis is also a member of Culbertson’s Explore America organization. After fundraising efforts, students will travel to the East Coast including New York this spring.
She said her hobbies include hanging out with friends.
Purvis has been a student in Culbertson since kindergarten.
“I like that everybody knows everybody,” she said. “It’s a nice community.”
She is thankful that she has good relationships with the rest of her 27-member class.
Her favorite class is government and her favorite teacher is David Solem.
“I learn a lot from his class. He’s a good teacher,” Purvis said.
Her plans after high school include attending college. She is unsure of her career paths but would like to work with children.
