New Fad Family Store Offers Variety Of Items For Local Shoppers

About a year and a half after opening the Wolf Point General Mercantile on Main Street in Wolf Point, the Deserly family is increasing its commitment to the area with The New Fad Family Clothing Store located directly to the west of the Mercantile.

Owner Matt Deserly said the store’s list of items include both new and used clothing, gifts, posters and toys.

Clothes range all the way from coats to shirts, pants, shoes and underwear.

Owner Elizabeth Deserly explained, “The New Fad as well as the Wolf Point General Mercantile are designed in an effort to revitalize downtown Wolf Point. We want to do our part in creating a welcoming environment to help in bringing families and shoppers back to Main Street. We believe that shopping locally will help to make Wolf Point great again. We want to thank Great Northern Development Corporation, [Wolf Point] Chamber of Commerce, Laura Krauth, Wolf Point Optimist Club, Montana Department of Tourism and the Fort Peck Tribal Community for their generous love and support for these projects.

Used clothing is located in the back of the store while new ones are in the front.

“My wife has been putting together ideas,” Matt said of Elizabeth.

He said they are taking down all of the people’s requests regarding clothes and sizes.

The New Fad’s first day of business was Black Friday, Nov. 28.

Matt said people have showed great excitement about the new offering in Wolf Point.

Business hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays. The store is closed on Mondays.
