Culbertson Cowboys Aim To Finish Near Top Of District 2C Conference
The Culbertson Cowboys have a turnout of 16 athletes for boys’ basketball this year after qualifying for the divisional tournament last season.
Returning starters for the Cowboys are juniors Plenny Williams and Brooks Solem.
Ian Snyder, a senior, was one of the team’s top players off the bench last season.
Coach Milt Apple feels the Cowboys’ strengths include intelligence, toughness and their defensive effort.
Areas that need to improve are passing, shooting and playing together as an unit.
Apple says the team’s goals include winning the regular season conference championship and qualifying for the divisional tournament.
Brockton, MonDak and Savage are among the other pre-season favorites in District 2C.
