Chamber Officials Planning For Christmas Stroll

The Wolf Point Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture is discussing final plans for the Christmas Stroll during its board of directors’ meetings.

Chamber directors have agreed on a few changes for the Saturday, Dec. 6, Christmas Stroll. Directors will put up the Christmas Lights on Friday, Dec. 5, and will turn on the lights at 5 p.m. on Saturday to kick off the celebration.

The switch from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. for the lights is so that it’s darker for displays.

“We are needing help in identifying a few of our Christmas light displays from over the years as we would like to thank those who have previously donated these beautiful displays,” Jayden Diener, the chamber’s executive director, said. “We have three new fun displays to add this year, and we encourage businesses to contact us if they would like to donate a display.”

Offerings during the Stroll in the past have included naughty and nice hot cocoa by the Sherman Inn, hamburgers from the Optimist Club, s’mores from Opportunity Bank and hot cocoa from the Junior Optimists.

“We are working to get our full line-up of events for Christmas Stroll and should be looking to get it out in mid November,” Diener said.

She announced that Jeff Presser is retiring as Chamber director after many years. He is planning to retire in Minnesota.
