Students Win Sweepstakes In Sidney

Wolf Point’s speech and drama team opened its season by winning Class B sweepstakes in both speech and drama at the Sidney Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 1.

Earning first-place honors were Cole Boysun in humorous solo and Jayla Big Talk in humorous interpretation. Also taking first was the team of Owen Moran and Thomas Moudree for humorous theater.

Placing second were Nora Hansen for mime Emmanuel Julio for Lincoln/Douglas debate.

Maya Deserly placed fourth in mime and Autumn Jackson and Amya Lowdog were fourth in humorous theater. Reilly Rees placed fifth in mime.

Adrienne Peterson earned sixth in dramatic solo. Taking seventh were Sheena Standing Rock in spontaneous program oral interpretation and Nomi Deserly in humorous solo. Lakota Grey Bull took eighth in dramatic interpretation.
