Senior Profile Chilson Enjoys Football, History

Culbertson High School senior Christian Chilson has become involved since moving to the school about five years ago.

He came to eastern Montana from Idaho. Chilson said he likes Culbertson. “It’s quiet,” he said.

Chilson’s involvement includes being on the football team. His positions have been noseguard and middle linebacker. He favors the nose guard spot because it seems easier to him.

His favorite hobby is learning about history, especially regarding World War II through watching videos. He enjoys hearing about the actions, the stories and the heroes.

Chilson keeps busy as he serves as a part-time custodian at the school after classes.

His favorite class is history and his favorite teacher is history teacher Dave Solem. “He’s easy going,” Chilson explains.

After high school, Chilson plans to join the U.S. Army and learn about welding.
