Meeting Planned For Missouri River System
A virtual meeting on Missouri River Mainstem Reservoir system operations is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 30, to present the draft 2025-2026 Annual Operating Plan.
On Sept. 30, the draft 20252026 AOP was posted online at: https://go.mil/mr-meetings. The comment period on the draft AOP will close on Nov. 26.
Meetings are normally held each spring and fall from Montana to Missouri and offer attendees an opportunity to provide feedback and voice concerns related to water management of the reservoirs.
In-person public meetings on Missouri River Mainstem Reservoir system operations, which were scheduled for Monday, Oct. 27; Monday, Nov. 3; and Tuesday, Nov. 4, have been canceled.

Call in by phone: +tel:+15032079433,,73745878# Slides will be posted to https://www.nwd-mr.usace. army.mil/rcc/ “We will hold the Oct. 30 meeting in a virtual format to receive feedback and to provide a status update of current year’s runoff and reservoir operations, as well as planned operations for the upcoming runoff year to meet the authorized purposes for the Missouri River Mainstem System,” said John Remus, chief of the Missouri Basin Water Management Division.
Monthly calls for key stakeholders, including Tribal and Congressional Staff, Federal partners, local emergency managers, levee sponsors, partner agencies and the media, are held each month from January until July and will begin in Jan. 2026.

We anticipate holding in-person engagements in the spring,” said Remus.
